Swiss roll.

Swiss roll is a type of sponge cake roll filled with whipped cream, jam or icing.
The origins of the term are unclear. In spite of the name Swiss rollthe cake is believed to have originated elsewhere in Central Europe.
This classic recipe requires just four everyday ingredients – caster sugar, plain flour, eggs and jam and it's very easy to make, you just need to be patient and gentle with the sponge.

Cake with raisins.

This recipe is very easy and don't need a lot of ingredients. The cake is very tasty, perfect for a cup of tea or coffee. It's combination of soft pastry with baked raisins inside and lightly crunchy top with golden color. Can be chilled or had lovely and warm, straight from the oven (in my situation it's always done while it's hot :D)

Sachertorte.

Sachertorte is a specific type of chocolate cake, invented by Austrian confectioner Franz Sacher in 1832 for important guests of Prince Wenzel von Metternich in Vienna. It is a famous classic Viennese cake, probably the most famous chocolate cake of all-time. It consists of the chocolate sponge cake with an apricot jam which is spread between the layers and on the top and sides of the cake. The whole cake is then iced with a velvet-like chocolate and traditionally served with a unsweetened whipped cream. It’s dark, very chocolatey and sophisticated, perfect for a special occasion or a birthday.

Vanilla crescent cokies.

Vanillekipferl is a traditional Christmas cookie originating in Austria, although it has become a popular holiday sweet in Germany, Czech republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
These light, crispy and fragrant vanilla crescent cookies will melt in your mouth and are incredibly easy to make. Vanilla crescents are usually made with ground almond and hazelnuts. They get their typical flavour from a heavy dusting of vanilla sugar.

Linzer heart cookies.

The Linzertorte is believed to have originated in the City of Linz, Austria in the early 1700s. Linzer Cookies use the same ingredients as a Linzertorte, only presented in a different way. They are so pretty, with their top cookie dusted with a thin white coating of powdered sugar and a cutout so you can see the color of the jam. The blend of tempting flavors of fruity jam filling in a buttery cookie is simply irresistible.
Many people make them at Christmas time but they are really perfect for any time of year.
Few days after baking they'll get just a better taste, so you can always prepare them as a dessert for future.

Tiramisu

This layered cake is one of the most famous Italian desserts. Best thing on the preparation is that it's simple and no cooking. You don't need a lot of time to put it together, all the lovely flavours will mingle by themself after spending few hours in the fridge. Tiramisu means "pick-me-up" in Italian and it's true, you will feel like on a cloud after an effect of the blend of strong espresso, mascarpone cream and sponge bisquits.

Jam cake with butter pastry.

Everybody who tried this cake raved about it (soon after serving not one piece left over), so usually I'm doing double portion. It could be perfect as canape if you're doing a little party. You just need to cut it into small squares and arrange on right place. Be sure that nothing will left when the party will come to the end. Anyway it's also perfect just as a dessert for your family.

Sweet pastry

I love recepts from the books "Naked Cheff" by Jamie Oliver. They gave me a lot of good recepts and tips.

One of this books was also the source for one of my favourite pastry recipe. I find this very useful, because you can experiment with different fillings and result always taste delicious.

One of the best things on this pastry is that you can prepaire double portion and simply freeze it for the other time.
